PoeKitties on couch

it doesn’t seem like friday today, but alas it is.  i’ve been super busy lately and will be through next week, but then back to crafting!!  It’s been too long.

Have a lovely weekend.

Dutch

Came across this interesting article on cats while perusing The Guardian.  I knew I was a cat lady, but now I can say I just can’t help but give in to these little fur balls of cuteness.

Manchester & Dutch

How could you not love these guys?

The new kitty has been with us 1 week today.  He’s been a real hoot and it’s only been within the last two days that he & Manchester have been able to “play” together.  I’m not quite sure that it’s actually “playing”, but at least there is no more hissing and spitting.  I did bust Dutch though taking a playful swipe at Manchester.  The big kitty just kind of laughs at him.  Dutch will not leave poor Manchester alone; he stays right on his tail.  Our old-man kitty doesn’t know what hit him.

…the newest (& cutest) member of our family.  Brad went and picked him up from the Humane Society on Saturday.  He really is absolutely adorable and I’m so glad he’s ours.  Manchester hasn’t exactly taken to him yet, but the fact that he’s not spitting at us today I think is a step in the right direction.

oh-so-help-me!  we have a new favorite website.  it’s absolutely ridiculous.  brad cracks me up; as soon as he saw it he said, “it should be illegal!”  an entire blog with nothing but the cutest kitties in the world.  we’re pathetic…it must be a sickness really.  i like that i’m a little embarrassed for brad and his unabashed love of kitties.  he feels like he can handle it though, being the construction man that he is.  manchester now has some serious competition…

saturday kitty

Soon to be single no more.

I spent a good chunk of my day deep cleaning my house. I hadn’t done much cleaning since my sister left and the dust bunnies got as big as my kitty. Speaking of kitty, he tried to help me with my chores today. Later, on my way to the grocery store I decided to stop off at the antique mall and I found a nice little napkin/towel/textile or something that will be turned into something else. I think it will be an apron, pillow or change purse in it’s next life. It was only 50 cents! It was a good little find. Now off for a nice long walk.

Scarf in Progress

I’m still working on that scarf project I mentioned a few weeks ago. I’ll have the reveal soon. I’m curious to see how it’s going to turn out. Hm. Manchester Kitty also thought he would help.

It was a busy week, but here are a few things that caught my fancy & kept me occupied:

:: My eye was drawn to iomoi. I love these paper weights.

:: I also received an update from my friend Amy. She’s coming back to the states in a few weeks.

:: It snowed. We played, we slept.

There is just nothing better than my sweet little Manchester-Kitty offering up unabashed love when I get home. After lots of scratches we assume the position on the couch.
